Help Save the Hutchinson House

November 01, 2018

Exciting News!

As we approach year-end we are excited to share our fundraising plans for the next phase of the Hutchinson House Project!  In 2020, we will be using a $85,000 grant from the National Trust to permanently stabilize and weatherize the house; however, the total cost for this work will be approximately $135,000, so we have additional funds to raise in order to get this done.

Our goal is to raise the additional $50,000 needed before December 31st so we can hit the ground running in 2020! That way we can spend our time and energy next year on plans for the final restoration phase, and most importantly, the design and implementation of the fundraising campaign that will enable us to complete the entire project so that the house may remain in perpetuity.

This is where you we need your help! We are using a new peer to peer online fundraising tool that will allow each of you to easily set up your own fundraising page to promote the need for the project.  It’s extremely user-friendly, and you can CLICK HERE to see the page I set up as an example.  We have created a fundraising message template, but you can certainly customize your own page. You can also set your own fundraising goal, $1,000, $500 or whatever amount you like. Then it’s easy to follow the 3-step process to start sharing your own page to raise money.  You can share your page in 2 ways, on Facebook, or if you don't use Facebook, you can email your friends and share the link to your page.

If you are ready to help, just CLICK THIS LINK to create your own page and get started.

Our Hutchinson House Committee and Board Members have already set up individual pages and launched the effort this week!  Please join us in our endeavor to complete this next important phase of The Hutchinson House Project.

Be a part of something big!
